Dick Burke, Jr., Owner and President of DB Homes, Inc. had his first exposure to the modular home business when his father began to dabble in the industry. He quickly realized it might be the opportunity he had been seeking and founded DB Homes, Inc. in 2001. The first office was an unmarked, family-owned garage in Dale Borough that offered no parking.
Burke’s brother-in-law, Keith Skowron, was the only other employee at the time and serves as the company’s General Manager. Shortly after, DB Homes partnered up with Ritz-Craft Corporation, who has over 50 years of experience building modular homes and is located in Mifflinburg, PA. and currently employs an average of 10 full-time employees. DB Homes has come a long way since it’s unmarked office.
After 5 years in our 1st office in Dale Borough, DB Homes opened their new state of the art 1500 sq foot Corporate Office & Design Center on Eisenhower Boulevard in Johnstown, PA in 2006. Our display center showcases countless options for our future home owners to put the finishing touches on their custom home . We opened our 1st model home to the public in 2008. This 2 Story model was called the Montauk and featured 2400+ sq ft of living space and 4 bedrooms. Since 2013 we have added a second Ranch model home that was designed to accommodate customers looking for affordable single level homes with an open concept living. Currently the Hudson 2 story model and the Azalea Ranch models are on display.
